Belief in nothing
right down to the bone
no bluff or anything
changed the tone.
Belief in my all or nothing
or I'll surely damn you to hell
defeat the left side and you will sing
you'll never hear the bell.
Belief should be a personality thing
everyone to each his own
religion's violence never fails to bring
many a disheartened stone.
Belief is often a mockery
stand from the glass house and throw
the second coming a tick tockery
for those who wait below.
Belief is nothing more
than blind faith in the fear
not ever knowing the score
and forever shedding one's tears.

Oh Jaymee how very heart-breaking this poem to me is......have you nothing at all that you can believe in or put faith in?
I used to have blind faith too, and when I was apart of the religious skeem, I was the one that would wonder and team with so many that also had no faith., But now i understand it's a very personal thing...between you and him....whomever you might have faith in. Has nothing to do with religion per se, is a living faith to guide you each day!
Marvelous questioning poem, Jayme...I've asked those questions for years, until finally the answers came and buffered my fears! I love you,
