I cant promise you were meant to be
I cant promise you will always love me
I cant promise you Ill always be in love with you
I cant promise you Ill ever say I do
I cant promise you Ill heal your pain
I cant promise you Ill always be shelter from the rain
I cant promise you I wont break your heart
I cant promise you well never part
I cant promise you I am the one
I cant promise you this will always be fun
I cant promise you I can dry your tears
I cant promise you Ill erase all your fears
I cant promise you well be happy ever after
I cant promise you Ill always bring laughter
I cant promise you the romance wont end
But, I can promise I will never pretend
I can you promise to take it one day at a time
Giving you everything I am as long as youre mine
I can promise you love, not always, but now
Given that chance, always may work itself out somehow
I can promise this wont be easy, we both know thats true
But Ill stand by your side to see this all the way through
I can promise to hold you as secure as I can
Take your time to think, just tell me when
I make no promises for the future that I cannot foresee
But without a chance well never know what could be
