Trees, earth rushing by, wind in my ears. Mountains crumble before my eyes. Sun pounds, painting my skin with years, It cannot cover the marks of those lies.
Trampling over the shards of my dreams, Pondering what at one time I "knew": "Everything is just as it seems." Once, I believed what my heart said was true.
I've wished the earth would swallow me up And conceal me in it's shallow hell. But I'm destined on my own misery to sup - I can't run fast enough to escape myself.
