The cry of
seagulls
on salty air.
Sandcastles
obstruct the view
placed there
by those
who wish to
leave a mark
of their imagined
greatness.
The restless
lapping of old water
bears witness
to their
untimely demise.
The cycle will
begin again
next season
in the age old
struggle
between man
and nature
as each
takes turns
to reclaim
the beach.....

I was able to visualize all of it. It really makes me miss my home town near Va beach, Thank you for sharing this it brought back some lost memories. :)
