Her River Bends

Dreaming, I saw her in her body Taking on the shape of sorrow A tear floating down her cheek This river, she said, Does not always take me To who and where I want to be. I watched as the earth hit her knees. Her hair whip and fall about Her face. Am I dreaming of you or of you in me?
She speaks to me in riddles In and about the many ways Her tributaries seem to flow So in and out of place But in times like these Where the river bends Takes me to your side I feel I am complete And for a brief moment I am allowed to dream.
But the current whisks her away Leaves me with only my thoughts Of what seems was just a dream Or maybe we are just two Fragments of one star Whom on her river bend Stars by chance did meet
