Dancing on the edge of the world they came bearing their torches and light they danced as if tomorrow would never come if nothing again could be right they drank of each other's souls and blood and sipped each other's wine kissed one another and then they left another day for another time
she spun on the water as he watched his eyes were smoke and gray they watched as the night was burned down by the flaming light of the day drunk on each other and self-mutilation they kissed in the cool morning dawn she sits at her computer writing this poem he's miles away and he's gone
