i wonder through this world
never knowing my place
not knowing where i belong
but on a summers day
in the warm month of july
i stumbled apon a place
that fit me just right
not a human in sight
not a house for miles
just wide open space
and air so clean
i couldnt help but breath deep
i laid among the grass and the trees
wishing i would never have to leave
but the picture before my eyes
began to crack at the seams
my perfect place
shaded in darkness
torn away from me
with the bringing of day light
and another crushed dream
