My vow- My bond- My curse

Contributed by katzie on Thursday, 6th November 2003 @ 08:12:23 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A yearning deep within my soul
A peircing pain within my chest
Without you all I've known's gone cold
I wish for you to give me rest

You know about how I feel about you
I've told you all there is to know
But being around me's not enough
You know what I need is more

Your reason for your distance is valid
And that makes it all the harder
The relationship that I find loosely threaded
Is the one I need bound tighter

I promised I would wait for you
No matter how long it would take
If only my word weren't of so much value
My word is bond- it shall not break

But my very words are my curse
It's what binds my to this pain
Day by day my hurt grows worse
I feel as though I've sworn in vain

I feel for you like no other
It's new.. even for me too
Some things I feel I don't understand
That's why my promise shall remain true

So If you're worried if my vow shall break
Your fears never shall be justified
But the longer this vow shall remain
The more pain and sorrow shall abide
