he left with my heart
still attached to his sleeve
and it hurt to lose it
to someone like him
a wolf in sheeps clothing
and i danced on the edge
of something so strange
in the middle of the night
i went out of my head
dreaming of fires and storms
they consumed me
he watched from afar
as i slipped neath the water
turning his back
he walked into the darkness
the sliver of moon
she tried to soothe me
and he howled at that
how much he hates me
to leave me heartless
hopeless abandoned
washed up on the bank
of nowhere near him
and nothing has meaning
for he robbed me of that
i sit in the corner
licking my wounds
wearing a watch
just to hear the ticking
in place of my heart
no doubt he has eaten it
and i won't get it back
