i remain
only to maintain
the futile battle
fought with the pain
the endless struggle
fought in vain
i hate
cuz it's trendy
cuz it makes me seem "cool"
i hate
cuz i've got nothing better to do
i twitch
cuz something's wrong with me
i'm not sure what
not sure it matters anymore
i live
because it's all i know
it's all i've ever done
i'd try something new
but, it seems kinda pointless
i loved you
you were everything i dreamed of
every sappy cliche i knew
formed into a black winged angel
whose eyes saw only me
i don't know if i love you anymore
nothing is the same
two different people now
where once, we were one
different paths, different plans
different life
you're still here and i miss you
i die tonight
i refuse to let you go
so i'm letting myself go instead
i won't drag you through
a messy divorce
just leave you the mess
that i'll make of my head
wipe my brain off the wall
and bury my body
then find someone
new and improved
i think i still love you
guess i'll never know
cuz, i won't live long enough
to lose you
