Grief

our lives rotated around our parents
weather they be good or bad
our little worlds looked to them as protectors
as we grew that concept changed
till we run full cycle and take over
without our knowledge an invasion occured
alzheimers came along and changed
the strategy and created a new tactic
the warfront was now on the homefront
and the target was what we held sacred
our parnts were now alzheimers victims
and we went to war with no thoughts to win
blessed are those who fight the battle
where no one applauds the victor
for in our war ther is no victor
only a survivor
