He's not worth it and soon you'll see
For years you pined for love's embrace
You must accept it's not meant to be
He may be beautiful to your eyes
The ideal sweetheart just for you
But reality has now set in
The words hurt but they're true
You lacked the courage to tell him
And when you did, you found
His answer back was devastating
In his words, you drowned
By simply nodding to his response
You simply admitted defeat
It's okay he doesn't feel the same way
You don't need him to feel complete
I know you know this; you understand
But it still hurts you inside
The day your love broke your heart
It would be easier if you died
Please know, my dear, I'll be right here
I'll help you get on through
It may not be much consolation now
