Whod have thought that Id be glad that summers over?
It was the worst 3 months my life has ever seen
And all the hopes I had of when it started
All fled away, and left me as a lonely teen

Now, at first it didnt seem so much like this
I actually enjoyed the first few days
But then I got to know what everyone truly thought
And they told me to detest all your ways

Cause you said, I dont know what to do,
Im in love with her, but Im best friends with you.
And after all the chaos and the pain you put me through
You chucked what we had away before I ever knew
I thought our bond meant more to you then some girl who would leave you cold
But evidentially I was wrong, thats real plain to see
And so was the fortune told
The fortune told

Learn from your mistakes, I cant agree more
Cause now I think I shouldnt befriend people like you
And everyones telling me, youll sit and ponder
Of all the great things that you blew

Cause you said, I dont know what to do,
Im in love with her, but Im best friends with you.
