Acidic Tears

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Saturday, 8th November 2003 @ 02:20:38 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I'm lost within a broken nightmare
Every day it gets worse 'cause I never learn
Breathing shards of glass into my lungs
And I'm always speaking out of turn

They've stolen my heart and replaced it with hate
Crying acidic tears over you
The pain and the anger never go away
I almost wish I could be like you

In my dreams I see empty faces
There's nowhere to go and there's nothing I know
I feel like you're already leaving
Moving farther away from the glow

Sometimes I'm scared we've come too close to the end
And I almost want to walk away
Replace this with something I don't need to feel
It's so much easier not to care

Throwing it all away
Just so I can be somebody else
There's nothing left inside
Please won't you let me feel something else?
Scream the words in your face
'Cause you don't wanna hear how I feel
Kill myself at your feet
Maybe you'd open your eyes and see
That this WON'T go away
And it's NOT over nothing
And you DO need to care
'Cause these words DO MEAN SOMETHING

What do I have to do to make you see
That I know I need help but you're not helping me
Don't leave me alone
Don't make me do this on my own
Because it's when you make me feel misplaced
That everything I know is right just gets erased
All I see is red
But would you care how much I bled?

There's so much more to this than you think you know
But you won't realize you were wrong
Until you're standing in the afterglow
Of our love's bittersweet song

This is amazing Moonlit!! I suggest if he hasn't seen it already that you should get him to read it. :)
