Ever since you left me
My life hasnt been the same
Its hard to let things be
All I can do is call out your name
The last time I held your hand
Was a time I want back
Being with you was my only plan
Now its hard for me to stay intact
The last time I was inside of you
Was a time my white sky turned blue
I knew that this was the end
That I was losing my best friend
The last time I saw you cry
I gave you that look like I didnt know why
A blank expression came over my face
These memories I wish I could erase
The last time I saw your smile
Was a time I thought I was on top of the world
I said something that was worth your while
I believe I gave you a necklace made of diamonds and pearls
The last time you had a key
Was the only one that I had made
Now its buried in the deep blue sea
With all my other belongs that are not up for trade
The last time you crossed my mind
Was a dream I had that we were never apart
Because of you, I know true love is hard to find
I must admit that you still have a special place in my heart

I love the fact youve written a poem about heartache and regret...regret it such a strong feeling and is hard to describe, but i think youve done it really well. Made me think of stuff i regret =( but its al part of life i suppose!

Yes you're writing definately does speak for it's self...it is loud and clear. This was a great write that I can relate to in a way. It is so true about true love being hard to find. I hope you do find that true love and not regret anything about that one, take care always.
