Hi,
Please forgive my temerity. I dashed off an ending to your poem in 15 minutes so it is a poor, unworked thing. Please don't be offended.
Disregard all fleeting joys,
They stultify the mind,
Lay aside your childhood toys,
Don't seek what you can't find.
Its time to throw the wheat away
And venerate the chaff -
Is this how you really feel?
Please - don't make me laugh.
You have a mind that leaps and soars,
That knows eternity,
A dream of better times to come,
A soul that must be free.
So say hello to future times,
To the person you will be,
The baleful presence in your rhyme,
Is mere uncertainty. |
