In him, I see a reflection of me Its a scary sight to see For I know where Ive been And know of all my sins
I wish I could spare him All the pain and mistakes Life isnt something you lose or win Its simply for learnings sake
If he could learn without pain How happy I would be I wish that could happen But its impossible you see
Either people dont trust Or they forget what they see Repeating the past is a must To remember and believe
I watch him grow and learn And Im reminded of my past For so many things I did yearn None of which did last
Most of my wants were trivial For all the wrong things did I aim Discontent and guilt did I feel I imagine hell go through the same
In the end hell realize As he watches his child fight He can only empathize And his mother was right
