Years have gone by,
But I still love you so much
It's hard to breathe
I see you and that old feeling comes back...
Making me weak in the knees.
Overwhelming emotions stir deep inside;
For one night the past and present collide
There's a brief satisfaction;
I can't even begin to describe.
But thats all I'll ever have
And the disappointment is hard to conceal.
I felt so close to you,
But I just couldn't get close enough.
For some reason your heart -
I've never been able to touch.
Everyone tells me your no good,
But I'll keep holding on to my love for you,
And maybe oneday it will be strong enough...
To reach a place; no one else ever could.
