You wonder what will happen And what the future may hold Thats the way with children By no one were we told
No matter what the fear Or whether theyre hot or cold No matter that no one cheers Or what events unfold
A parent is there for direction A gentle hand to guide the way We will give you protection Sometimes well even play
A parents job isnt easy At times they must cause pain To the parents its not pleasing The purpose is for your gain
They have to teach right from wrong And how to people you should be They really dont have very long To teach these abilities
Your welfare is what they work for To give you what you need For you, out their love they pour And hope their teachings take seed
Which parents you get isnt happenstance I believe thats safe to assume And your children werent given you by chance For God knew them in the womb
There is an intended purpose That is created with Gods own hand For each and every one of us A unique path He has planned
He matches a parent and a child Because he knows you see Wholl be meek and wholl be wild And what the perfect match will be
Parenthood is a winding road That never really ends Your children you cant always hold On you they wont always depend
You make sure they know how To care for this life they lead And then you can take a bow Because you did succeed
