No Wings

An angel came to me, And taught me how to fly. Then my angel flew away, Unknowingly taught me to say goodbye.
A demon stumbled upon me, He came and taught me wrong. That was all I'd been since my angel left; I'd been false all along.
The angel who I'd once known, Returned to me years after. Showed to me the truth, My angel taught me laughter.
My demon came back later, And asked what that sound was. I told him I was happy; My demon turned to dust.
When my angel came to me, I was already cursing things. My angel turned his back, And suddenly had no wings.
I tried so hard to explain, That I had lost a friend. But my angel started to dissolve, And explained it was the end.

This read like some kind of picturesque dream. I liked reading it, because it was curtly expounded and to the point.
Good poem. |
