What could a man as sweet as he
Ever possibly see within me?
Am I just being wistful?
Or could life truly be blissful?
Why am I even looking?!
My life Ive just reclaimed!
Is any man worth hooking?!
Maybe loneliness is to blame
Im looking for easy answers
But I dont believe they exist
My lack of understandings a cancer
All attempts at a cure it does resist
I know that not all men are the same
As in all things, there are good and bad
On men, all my problems I cannot blame
It was just the easiest excuse I had
The truth is, its me I detest
Only I know whats within
For the traits I dont want to possess
An elaborate veil do I spin
But no matter how I cover
Or how brilliantly I campaign
It seems that I must suffer
For stubbornly they remain
Myself, Ill learn to live with
If I accept with certainty
A knight in shining armors a myth
Only I can set myself free
