Fluff

Contributed by Terry_Stephen_Driscoll on Monday, 17th November 2003 @ 08:35:55 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

The beggar asked me for money (uneasy)
Shall I throw it in his hat (nonchalant)
Rummage pocket change (resentful)
Whats your name? (enquiring)
Fluff he said, they call me Fluff (label)
How are doing you Fluff? (caring)
"Im doing all right now the nights are warmer (comfort)
The cops lay off me" (victimised)
Where are you sleeping? (delve)
"On the beach, I sleep on the beach" (salty)
"Its great in the mornings, summer mornings
when the tide swells high on the shingle,
folding the pebbles back close to the water line:
When the waves retreat it drops all the coins and jewellery the day-trippers lose in its well
and makes combing a cinch (lucky)
I smiled, he too (exchange)
I held out a note (debt)
He took it from my hand (easy)
I didnt know that about the shingle (interesting)
Id given Fluff some money (currency)
Fluff had given me some knowledge (currency).

That was really cool. I like how you did that. Don't overdo it though or we will all get used to it an it won't be as good hehe.

Brillance is your wisdom, very unique
idiosyncracy and insight
which is alive in it's self.
You are blessed a thousand times through
to be able to convey so passionately and seemingly
without effort, bless you.
