lying on the highway staring up at the stars waiting for the wheels of some speeding car praying for a drunk teen or half-blind old lady who'll come speeding 'round the curve and flatten me
i smile and imagine the tread breaking my skin crushing my skull leaving it paper thin i hope that it kills me, but if not think of the scars if i were to become trapped being dragged under the car miles of pavement and gravel tearing soft flesh to shreds as pieces of me fall away flattened under the treads
my smile grows wider i hear someone coming now i listen and identify an eighteen wheeler by the sound he flys around the curve his bright lights instantly blind me and i pray that it will be too late when he finally sees me
i can't tell how close he is just guess from the engine's roar he's around ten feet away maybe a little more i laugh as he draws nearer and his lights pass over me i look to the side and tread is all i see
arteries collapse muscles compress bones shatter, blood splatters it's really quite a mess beneath the wheels of this speeding semi twisted and broken i smile and die

Hey, cool!
It is not just you, I think it is hilarious!
But then, everyone tells me I'm sick.
That's ok though!
I like the
' i smile and die'
best of all.

THis ain't funny when you have seen a person do this but not die. How can you think that this is funny? But I do like the last line! Love:::Kirby |

kirby, i think it's funny because of the eagerness with which he awaited the semi. the almost romantic way he envisioned the tires shredding his flesh and being caught under the vehicle. i guess i have a distorted sense of humor, but i thought it was funny.

this poem is cool because it is synonymous to a child waiting for christmas, for instance, or a thirteen yr old , who is so excited to see his first "boobie"
will it happen?
will it happen?
will it happen?
will it happen?
will it happen?
***** YEAH!!!
IT HAPPENED!!!! |

ooooh I loved this I don't find it funny personally, but it was pretty sweet. I loved the imagery and how the poem never faltered just kept on speeding along til the end. Awesome dude!
