IS THERE NOT A BETTER WAY?

In Turkey there is chaos
A bloody tragic chaos
For them its their 9/11
No adequate words to say
All of these explosions
Coming day after day
The terrorists are guilty
Of that there is no doubt
But my heart will always wonder
Was there another way?
Than to match death
With more dead
To stoke the killing machine?
You say they cant reason
They dont see what we mean
That we cant reason with them
But only bring them pain
But when did simple opposition
Bring us much in gain?
Or fail to bring more suffering?
Or bring a better day?
Well a war means all out carnage
But on with the war Bush will say
And isnt that what we see
More death, mothers grieving
Heartache
Day on day on day?
And my heart cant help wondering
Is there not a better way?
