Lady Sea

Contributed by puppy_dog_eyes on Friday, 21st November 2003 @ 05:00:19 AM in AEST
Topic: Holiday Poetry

Lady sea calls to me
Not in a loud voice, just a gentle whisper
Gulls her messengers through the skies
Come to me, come with me
Let me wrap you in my arms of clear blue
Let me wash your mind clean of troubles
Fine grains of sand chase her down the beach
She draws them to her, they follow captive to her msytical tune

I walk to the edge of her world
Watching her writhe across golden sand
Bewitched by the mystery of her dance
Barefoot walking, I shiver at the cool of her first caress
Gentle, soothing, like a new lover's kiss
As her white veil trails behind me, swirls about me
Slowly she is warming me, holding me, lifting me

Head tilted back I feel safe in her arms
In a trance I am warmed by her touch
If I let myself drift where would we go to ?
What riches would she take me to gaze upon ?
She is calm for me, though some say she can be cruel
So many tales of her trickery and rage

I will not try to understand the thoughts in the deep of her mind
I will honour her beauty and spirit
And the way she has lifted my soul
She will always call to me, she is still, Lady Sea.
