Eris, Goddess of Strife August 18, 2003
Used to be the victim, Til I heard the judge inside my mind, Fiercly state my dictum, And give me my assigned. Showed me my path to pain, Told me I could refrain, Just had to get to know my strain, And find out how to attain. I feel free, happy and here, Finally surfaced, suddenly near. No more haze and fog to blur, Not a problem could occur. I see now what I was born to be, Born to be alive, be me. Not a glimpse you thought you saw, To see a smile, rather than a flaw, I am here, here to stay, I wish hard, I wish now, To be what I want, what I allow. So long wrapped in tragedy, From friends, to guys, to family... I have finally found in me, What I need, To set my hidden smiles free. No words could even begin to be, What I mean to say, to any degree. Truth is here, I have unveiled, From the steel, I have bailed, What my heart has so long wailed, My mind ignored and simply sailed, If I knew this all along, I'd be here, and she'd be gone. So now I know and life begins, A life absent of sin and gracious to a grin, A life I'll live in my own skin.
