The sadness and mistrust that leads to self-abuse
Scars on the wrist to show the dark intent,
To the bruises that whisper of misuse
Tells of a time not to long ago spent.
From a home of broken plaster and broken bones
You dry your spent tears and forget your dreams
As you cling to your agonizing groans
And pray someone will hear your silent screams,
But you look around and notice everyone has gone
Labeled you a 'freak' and forgotten your tear-stained face
You can't even remember when your eyes last shone,
But you know your tired of this mournful race.
Gaze into the mirror, breakdown, as you turn your face into crimson slivers
You slump to the ground and smile as Death delivers.

What's with that girls peace joy and hugs? I think she's high. She says that all the time, but anyway I like your pain because from it spews painful enjoyable poetry which I greedily read on as if it were the pain itself. Thank you for your misery.

I love how you can write exactly what Im thinking Joel. I loved this poem as I love all your poetry. I especially liked the lines "You dry your spent tears and forget your dreams, As you cling to your agonizing groans, And pray someone will hear your silent screams"

you know what joel? i think without a doubt this is the best work youve done so far.
i like it.
i can relate to it.
good syllable co-ordination and innovative ryme-scheme
packed with emotion i swear was my own, made my stomach hurt when i read it.
fantastic. seriously. i am in awe.
(hey, doug said he was my friend too. ...i think he is everyone's friend. odd, cuz i dont think ive ever met him...

this poem I found really amazing tiz really dark,lonely and I can relate to it in someways I guess..u write the most darkest poems I've ever read in my whole lyfe I hope u continue to write forever and ever...Take Care!!!good writen sexy
