The lesser of two evils

Contributed by demon_of_blood on Monday, 24th November 2003 @ 03:56:05 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

For many days and many nights I stay awake and think of the fights. You're just malcontented to own my rights.

But if I must choose i'll do it soon, because too much time has passed between each moon.

There is no time for idle thoughts I must decide before destruction is wrought.

But don't distract me with your gifts because my loyalty can not be bought.

To stay where I am or go back to the abyss, this is where my problem lies.

But where I am has become a lie as my hero has become degraded and dry.

But to crawl back would mean a future, possibly, but maybe not. All my plans could just fall through and then my decision would be for naught.

It seems as if there is no choice that could satisfy what I need. But if my destiny is to the abyss then that is where I will bleed.

Maybe someday i'll break through but for now i'll sit and brood.

To leave my broken hero or to desecrate my pride, the lesser of two evils is where I will remain tied.
