I had it all planned out
in the crannies of my brain
I have been thinking, you know.
but I wonder -
is dreaming still enough?
I had this idea of me.
but, where did I lose it?
This idea of me,
is she fading away
with each passing day?
I cant help feeling
I'm slowly inching towards giving up.
This is not the me , I grew up with.
I cant help thinking,
I mull over the past -
brooding over might-have-it-could-have-been
if only I did let her know.
Instead, am left delirious -
ten degrees of separation,
nine shades of gray,
countless hours, so solitary
and endless smokes of cigarettes.
