The Last Rose

Topic: DarkPoetry

There is a place
The last rose grows
Where it is
One soul knows
In fields of darkness
It stands alone
Blacks and grays
No sunlight shown
~The rose sings~
~I love you.~

Thick dark clouds
Fill the sky
Cold wind blows
No caring eye
Surrounded by
Pain and sorrow
Only hope
A better tomorrow
~As the rose says~
~I love you.~

Bright red petals
Wilted and torn
Slowly dies
No one to morn
This is the last rose
Barely alive
Struggles through solitude
Trying to survive
~And the rose bellows~
~I love you.~

Ridged mountains
Barren lands
Hidden away
The last rose stands
Hurt and ache
On all sides
This is where
True love hides
~The rose whispers~
~I love you.~

Constant winter
Raging storms
Protected by
Only its thorns
Prison of darkness
Love stands alone
Will to endure
Lets out a moan
~As the rose utters~
~I love you.~

This the last rose
Grim is its fate
Alone in gloom
It sits in wait
Waiting solemnly
Pain that surrounds
Waiting to be picked
One knows where its found
~And the rose cries~
~I love you.~

Tormented by memories
Hoping youll hear
This, the last rose
Love sheds a tear
Living for hope
Lonely abyss
Waiting for death
The final kiss
~The rose sighs~
~I love you~

Only one knows
Where its found
Brightness of love
Darkness surrounds
Luminous beauty
Fading light goes
Encompassed by suffering
It is the last rose
~As the rose breathes~
~I love you~

Somber setting
Constant night
Loneliness prevails
The roses plight
Dim world confines
No footprints near
Solitary cell
True love in fear
~And the rose thinks~
~I love you~

Overwhelmed by anguish
This is the last rose
One soul only
Knows where it grows
Engulfed in conflict
True love sits
Eternity of waiting
To be picked
~The rose dreams~
~I love you~

Endlessly awaiting
The one who knows
As I scream, I love you.
I am the last rose

outstanding! It left me speechless. There are no words to express the feeling I got when I read your poems.
