venus in a web bound
trailing tears she kept up
singing the last line of a song
until no one cared to listen
she went silent and dead
they hoped
the last note lingered
on the night air
cold and hard to hear
the truthful sadness
she was so alone
in the center of the universe
untouchable skin like marble
the flesh of the goddess
named for love
and passion never reached her
where she stood at the apex
crossroads of love
she wanted to hitch a ride
on a moonbeam or a star
the light drips from her fingertips
the poetic justice of her death
in so many words,
love chased her
the final note pulsates
softly away in faultless dark
into the cosmos, forever
she will be heard
singing that he never loved
her perfect heart

Wow! This is beautifully written. It's depth is totally impressive, it reminds me of old jazz.
I give this a 5 on the Nortiscale and 5s are extraordinarily rare from the wicked Nortiscale.
