cold, shivering,chilled
to the bone
frozen fingers
curled up under my sleeves
tossed out
reasons not given
acceptance
notwithstanding
free to come and go
go from here
you are free
set up shop
do your own thing
nothing
is mine
no sleep
without turmoil
whipped as a child
trapped here now
sinking ship
everything is broken
so many pieces
chalk dust in my eyes
blurred vision
cannot see things your way
not uncommon
it happens all the time
teeth constantly chatter
with nothing to say
cold beyond the pale
cold as deep as the sea
as wide as the heavens
as cold as death
constanly checking
for a pulse
faint hearted attempts
at living
failed
in every aspect
nothing to show for it
ragged hand-me-downs
worn as a fashion statement
because i said so
it is so
believe it
will be so
cold as ice
