You've been through the tough times
Enjoyed the fun and Cried the tears
You've done so much for me
I often take you for granted
Always putting others before yourself
Sometimes you are just too generous
The world should be full of people just like you
You've wiped away my tears
Shared my joy and excitement
Jealously will never eat you away
Selfishness can't fight you
You are more about giving than receiving
More about love than money
Thank you Mum for everything you've done
May you stay bright and inviting just like a summer's sun

| This is a good poem, I have to write one for my mother soooon, the way the last two lines rhyme reinforces your wish for your mother, I like that. |
