The Darkness
Through the darkness and the dust
You see nothing but the rust
Everytime you close your eyes
You hear the curses and the lies
Youfeel the pain of being hurt
And smell the flesh that's being burnt
When you dream you dream of things
That don't come naturally to human beings
Then you finally wake to find
It wasn't all in your mind
As the darkness stars to return
A single light begins to burn
So that you can see the fate
Of those who sin and those who hate.

Good rhyming poetry delivers a huge right cross to the reader, imprinting your theme and message directly on thier temple.
