She sat there Staring at his grave Couldn't beleive Its been almost a year Now A year of sleepless nights Fulls of tears For the one She can never see Again.
Its been almost a year Since Last time They kissed Goodbye She didn't think He die at work That very day Saving people Like he always did But September 11, 2001 Wasn't any oridnary mission Or job.
She swore She could hear his Screaming As the floor Above Fell down on him And he was crushed And dead They Found him Like all the others Except He was holding a note And it read:
Dearest love, I lay here dying. A plane crashed into the World Trade Centers. And I know they won't get to me soon enough. I'm dying, to quickly to be saved. I'm using all my last stregthen to write you this note. Tell the kids I love them and always will. I love you and goodbye. Your loving husband, Paul
P.S. Here's a kiss to remember me by. And if you are not my wife, Sue , then please will you find her and give her this. The adress is below.
But The note Wasn't the firemans It was some other victims Of the tragedy He was saving it To deliver He was on his way To take it out With another body When the floor Came crashing down.
She sat there sobbing As A stranger walked up And threw a bouquet By the grave And said Thank you For giving me My husbands last words For saving them For me Thank you.
