I wish you could be here to see,
the joy this little girl brings to me,
to hold her in your arms,
make sure there comes no harm,
You'll never spoil her like grandmas should,
I know you'd be here if you could,
She'll never hear your German words,
or smile at you when their heard,
You can't buy her dresses with pink lace,
or touch her tiny hands & face,
I know how happy you would have been,
just to see her tiny grin,
buying her gifts that she'd adore,
like you did with the others before,
rock her to sleep with love & care,
you can't do this,you wont be here,
all these things she'll miss from you,
you would have loved her if she only knew,
I'll tell her about you every day,
It will be like you never went away,
For I know you sent her down to me,
to give me the dream that was meant to be,
Your name will be hers to to hold dear,
Leann "Ursula", at least that you'll share,
I believe shes your last gift to me,
I just wish you could only see!

This is beautiful,heartwrenching and BEAUTIFUL!!
I have five children and my mum was only around for my first born and then passed away when he was two.He's now 17 and I have had 3 daughters and one other son since then.For 15 yrs I have done all without her...wondered what she would have thought,how their faces would have lit up to see her..all those lil precious things.But mum remains with us everyday..in photos,stories,and memories that I have.Not a day goes by where my mum is not mentioned.I will post a letter I wrote to my mum last New Years.Im sure you will relate totally!!
Ok..Im done lol..keep smiling...your baby girl is definately a gift from your mom.How wonderful for you all. *smiles*

| Chrissy, again you made me cry... Mom would love her just as much as the others.i will try to do like her. I know i will never be her OMA, but i will love her the way she would. You were right, by this is her gift to you, enjoy the little girl for i have two.... enjoy it while they are little, for they become teenagers.... love ya always.... Monika |
