I won't accept reality
I've learned the hard way it's going to hurt
I'm a tethered imagination
If I pull I'll fall to dirt.
The sky's so far away
And it's not getting any closer
It's another sunny day
And I'm shackled to a corner.
I'm just another writer,
Not a lover,
Not a fighter.
And maybe someday
Some rays will shine,
To the very core
Of this weary soul of mine.
Because I'm a chained imagination
And I've a long way to go
To find my way back up
Before I sink down too low.

And you will find your way back up...you already said "Before I sink down too low:" - this gives me hope for you that you don't want to sink, so hang in there and just tell your self you can do it, prove it for yourself. Good write. All the best.
