THE END

Contributed by Hannah_jeannie_Brazeau on Sunday, 7th December 2003 @ 12:13:45 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

If I remember how to laugh,
I'll be the lucky one.
A real laugh , my dear
is the picture of happiness
happiness is an illusion
and illusions seldom change
into something real to me.
This world is cold and black
forever an eternal winter.
It's like being frozen
in the North Pole
wearing absolutely nothing
but a bathing suit
It's the coldest thing to do.
I'm so cold , my heart is numb.
The love inside, so deep and true
is there, but frozen
from the cold blast of winter
in your indifferent rejection.
You took my love
and mocked it as untrue.
It hurt so bad;
It was so cold
that I could just turn blue.
We can still be friends, I guess
but more cannot be said.
' Til you look inside and confess
that you want me back instead.
My hope that's dead
cannot be revived.
Even my battered down pride
it cannot reach my head.
My faith will not give up.
It says the same thing again
there's always tomorrow to come
when someday, my love, darling
will lead me back to you.

This was a good write. It was exceptionally dark. Nice imagery.
