Travelling in a land of dreams
Clouds and castles in the sky
And clashing pain screams
Feel the truth of Ptolemy
Feel all the bodies surround
Everything that's heavenly
Feel the angels permeate
Cause delight then suffering
In a pleasant tortured state
Wrist chains of silver and shackles of gold
Your soul's on the table you've been bought and sold
Struggle and scream as you hear their laughs
As you are chastised by the seraphs
Locked in a menagerie of ice
Praying for salvation
As you feel their talons slice
Ravaged by guardians malicious
Blinded by falling stars
Pierced by lights pernicious
Chained by celestial vandals
Restrained by the radiance
Punished in the light of countless candles
Brought down by greed looking for treasures
Coerced to atone for the desiring of pleasures
In a purgatory of ice to appease
While the winged ones perform their vile deeds
Travelling in a land of dreams
Clouds and castles in the sky
And clashing pain screams
In a black chamber of frost
Your glacial tomb
As your soul is forever lost
Chained by celestial vandals
Restrained by the radiance
Punished in the light of many candles

MARVELOUS WRITE *CLAPS* FOR AN ENCORE! Fantastic imagery, VS...really could see everything at it's finest. I loved the way you named the angels...Seraphs, and indeed they are too! I would point to this your poem, if someone ask me what it was like to live in our day. We are all slaves to systems, rules, and even ourselves at times. I've read this poem several times...it would be great to read this in a history class save even 10 years from now...Right on. VS Right on! Very enjoyable true write!
