A superficial melody
So beautiful and heavenly
This paradoxic lullabye
Was nothing but another lie
Awaking to a silent night
The lullabye is out of sight
So now I know, so now I see
The silent black reality
Your love was nothing but a dream
Not everything is what it seems
And if you try and lie again
Regret the day you called me 'friend'
Just leave and let me die alone!
This empty void was once a home
And everything I thought was mine
Was all another broken lie
A fairytale lingers here
Romantic poison in my ear
Oh, happy endings do decieve
And so do you, my love, my liege
The storybook is firmly closed
Against the dream I blindly chose
So now I know, so now I see
The silent black reality
The bleeding edges of my soul
Are fading in this endless hole
And slowly I will melt away
Your token words have gone astray
Now I can hear a strain of song
But no more will I play along
This empty void was once a home
Just leave and let me die alone.
