when everyone around you goes...
you just want to be with them...
i understand, you have to go,
fill them in on what they've missed,
tell them about all the guys you kissed,
stain my memories, paint them black,
i'll see you when i get there...
i'll turn around i won't look back,
escape the things that you and i feared,
fleeing from the scene of the crime,
innocence is a conveniency,
for those that have done no wrong,
like you and i, wrong done unto us,
hearing your name on the wind,
will come as daily as sin,
imagining you in every sunset,
sending this out to you,
getting it where you truly know,
this is the place for you to go,
i'll see you round, happier then,
sooner than you'll think...
we'll meet for real, for the first time,
say goodbye, blow you a kiss,
catch it in your hand,
spread it across your beautiful face,
let it fill you with warmth,
to steer you from cold,
on this lonely trip,
reaching out, trying to grab your hand,
feel your slippery skin,
slipping away,
falling to ash,
diving under,
clouds of dirt,
being dug up in my mind,
just to hurt..
i know what i'll truly miss...
