Keeper of My Heart

Contributed by lil_hummingbird on Saturday, 13th July 2002 @ 08:21:41 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

you are the keeper of my heart
no matter what comes my way
I knew this from the start
but now we both have to pay

judgements should never be made
when two people are in love
all memories of the past should fade
like a bird in flight up above

they say it is better to have loved
and lost than to not love at all
but the pain that I have
is much more than any fall

what once was ours
is no longer there
but i cant stop thinking of you
this life is not fair

If all I ever have
are my dreams of you and me
I will cherish them forever
if that is how it has to be

Very straight forward, and to the point.A feeling plainly spoken, and easily understood.

Another great poem. This is so good, but sad.

I never agreed with that qoute "it's better to have loved, and lost than no love at all". Seems like a cruel world. When you have someone you care about that much, and you lose them. It only leaves you wondering about them. I like the poem a lot
