I'm all alone in this world
No one needs me
Everyone has their special someone
With the maddening exception of me.
I feel so cold and all alone
So desperately unloved
I have nothing to hope for
Nothing left to dream of.
What have I
To dream about?
You love not me
But someone else
And I love you
And no one else.
It may not matter
What I say or do
But when I cry at night for you
What will be your way?
Will you come this way to me
Or will you stay away?
I need a hug of close, warm comfort
From a good friend like you
So that I don't feel so all alone.
With no one to love me
All by myself once more
I need a helping hand
Don't run away!
Don't leave me all alone!
Help me through this cold dark night
Stay and keep me company.

Yes, everyone has felt this I believe. It goes straight to the heart and you recall what that felt like.
But sometimes something magical happens and someone loves us back....

when i read this poem, i was chilled down my spine. my fingertips tingling, i just wanted to grab my razor and eradicate the unfortunate circumstances that allow empathy.
