slipped though my fingers wine into water and time rushes by like a sudden storm leaving me vanquished on a deserted shore where i am a foreigner i don't know the language tongue tied and drunk i sit on his lap hoping he'll love me buy me some dinner take me home to his room let me sleep until morning before he puts me out on the street everything i was is gone in one breath i lost it spoke in anger and haste now free to wander to my heart's content looking for passion for mystery, romance i drink to the dreamers the drunks and the schemers godforsaken, heartbroken what was i thinking
