Tears for Free

Contributed by Marina on Thursday, 11th December 2003 @ 09:41:58 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

If you thought I cried for a reason,
Im here to let you know youre wrong.
So you wont have to worry anymore
About the wrong words to say,
Cause I dont hear a thing anymore.
Whats the use in thinking only one thing;.
Believing in every day, I ask why,
When there are so many different things to think
Should I keep one thought in my head longer than any other?
Whats the use of thoughts anyways?
Flights of fancy, pieces of junk,
Flitting about while Im tangled in my covers;
Lost in my own lies, in my own eyes.
Meet me at the corner should I happen to be there.
Meet me where theres an empty place in the world,
But dont get lost in that spot.
Dont leave behind what you thought was gone.
Emptiness is more than what is here.
I will hold a tear in my palm,
Flinch as its ghost travels down my fingers.
And I will give it to you as I hold your hand,
And that will be the last of my sorrows you will know
