Sacred thoughts jotted eagerly within the pages of a dimestore notebook. A young damsel's wonderings of human nature and love. Written perceptions of the boy and girl, Common ideas, yet so personal. Natural images of the grown-up world inscribed inside her furtive journal.
Overprotective parents with prying eyes invade her secrets and destroy her dreams. Thirteen summers old, not understanding why normality quickly turned to shame. Deserted and feeling blind and confused left to ponder on her own. Her questions became hushed taboo cherished pages forever gone.
Deep resentment imbeds inside private thoughts and dreams are buried. Growing past puberty and into adult life the pain of betrayal is heavily carried. Aching to love; yearning to trust, both difficult to secure. Her body resisting natural lust. The devastating memory she must endure.
