To my Grandpa, I can say thank you, For all the times we've shared, All the conversations we've had, And all the Arby's we've eaten together, All the knowledge you've passed on to me, The walk in Ephrata to those painted walls, All those times you let me, And Richie shoot the cans, All the times we went to the basement, And me and Richie just explored, The military stories, And books passed down, You almost threw away, I know you think you've lost some love, With your wife now gone, But now I'll love you more, For that lack left there, I won't let an empty space stay in your heart, I'll give you all the love I have, In this letter here, I can't be there all the time, But I can love you all the time, I can't see you everyday, But I will love you everyday, For this first Christmas without my Grandma, All I can say is that, I'm thankful your still here, And on this first Christmas she isn't here, I can tell you I love you still.
