Dirty Laundry

Contributed by Malice on Sunday, 14th December 2003 @ 10:42:44 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

There had been hard times between me and you
Even when you smile, I see hurt coming through
And its as if it will never reach an end
You tell me nothing is the problem
Just insisting you want more freedom
I had never had you chained to me, have I?
This is the last song I dare sing
While waiting for the bells to ring
Signaling yet another fallen relationship.
Deep in your heart, I know you still want me
But you took your time, playing with your ego,
Drowning your usual cup of tea
Its as if you've been through girls like dirty laundry.
There is something going through my mind
Something involving wedding bells which chime
How could it all change so fast?
Shine a light through the shimmery fabric of a rippling curtain
The future seem so dark, so unclear, so uncertain
Every move I make
Every step I take
Draws us further from one another
That was history
Pure meaningless misery
I got over you, you got over me
So naturally
And its all because...
You gone through me like a pile of dirty laundry
But I do have you to thank
For now, I have found my man
And look at you now, trying as hard as you can
To retain your fallen self of a laundry man.
