Love stories,
The only thing on T.V.

Radio playing sad songs,
Remembering what my heart longs.

Can't get away,
Pain every day,

Can't force my brain to disengage,
Never the star- always forced backstage,
I hear Maya's bird singing in its cage,
Tears flowing with the Amazon's rage,
I scribble down another page.

Crying a sob so soft,
Hiding in a loft.

Frantic attempt to heal my heart,
My world fell apart.

Someone to love me,
Never to be.
