I see you this way
Not the way things were meant to be, But something you have settled for Your passions and desires have been lost You only become still and motionless Silence the only words spoken A language you know so well
And your eyes have been formed to sadness Steel molds to your soul Happiness forgotten Life carried far away
Arms of sorrow embrace you Only you do not feel them Wrapped as roots into the ground Making you weep in your dreams
You seek another way; another home Another land As though you have been raped of all that is good
Find the hours that have been lost And give back what once you were
